Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
